Record-Smashing match at CRPC for USPSA club!

Bill Jackson | Published on 3/20/2026

USPSA is blowing the doors off in 2026!

This past Sunday, March 15, 2026, saw the LARGEST crowd ever for a Level I USPSA local match at CRPC. Seventy-five entries smashed the previous record of 68 from way back in 2018. The crowds were drawn by the annual Classifier Match (rescheduled from February's rainout), where all five stages are USPSA classification stages. This type of match allows anyone to get a classification in a new division in just one match, or, to move up in an existing division.

Competition Highlights

  • 75 guns (some shooters shot multiple divisions).

  • 5 of the newest classifiers (the 2025 series)
  • Some of the top USPSA shooters in the state

The weather was great, right up to the point where the rain started. Two squads had to finish their last stage in the rain, but most everyone got done before then.

Whether you’re a seasoned USPSA competitor or you’ve been meaning to check out what practical shooting is all about, the monthly USPSA match is a great place to get started on your competition journey.
