Second Skeet Fun Shoot Hits Another Home Run

Jerry Richburg | Published on 6/4/2026

The 2nd Skeet Fun Shoot of 2026 kicked off Saturday morning (May 30, 2026) with a great turnout and plenty of enthusiasm. We had three full squads plus two additional shooters, including four brand-new, first-time skeet shooters. Hopefully, the shooting bug did its job!

Shooters came from several states, including Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, and, of course, Mississippi. The age range was wide, with our youngest shooter being 10-year-old Gunner Bruzeau of Metairie, Louisiana. Gunner was an inspiration to both seasoned and new skeet shooters, breaking 17 out of 50 targets in his very first skeet event while shooting a .410.

Overall, approximately 50 people attended the Fun Shoot and enjoyed a great seafood lunch. We would like to thank everyone who donated food, contributed money, volunteered their time, and helped make the event possible. A special thank-you also goes to the CRPC Board of Directors for supporting this fun and successful event.
